The Belgian city of Ghent is introducing a weekly veggie day in canteens that serve schoolchildren and public service employees. Thursdays will now feature a meat-free dish as the default option. New city maps also highlight the dozens of vegetarian restaurants in the city. It’s all part of a bid to improve people’s health,while it’ll also cut the city’s greenhouse emissions.
